God my Father

The Lord my God is my Father and Protector. He is the only one who sees me and knows me and will protect me. I am scared quite a lot these days – we live in very challenging times, but His love and power remain the same.

My Father God has made me, saved me from my sinful nature, and has lifted me out of the filth of my sinful life and set me on a rock. The rock is my Saviour, Jesus. I adore Him because of what He has done for me, and the dreadful price He paid to rescue me from sin. He did this because my Father asked Him to. He was obedient even to death, so I will never have to face it, as He had to. Death has lost its sting because of what my Father planned for me.

“Death, where is your sting? Hades, where is your victory?” 1 Corinthians 15:55 WEB

He chose me and lifted me up. My Father God chose me and lifted me up and gave me to Christ as His everlasting portion. What a privilege I have in Him.

“But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.” 1 Peter 2:9 NIV

The privileges go on and on. I lift my hands my arms to you, Father God, for not giving up on me, and for bringing me to this point today, and knowing, because of faith, that I will be safe forever. You are my protector, and whatever happens to me, you will be right there with me. Speak, O Lord, and I will listen.

Then we say, “Speak Lord, for your servant is listening.” 1 Samuel 3:10 NIV

When we pray we address the Lord, our Father, for He alone is our Father, and we revere Him and worship Him. The Father is the head of all things. We thank our Saviour Jesus for what He did for us, as we thank our Mother and Father for what they did and do for us, and we do everything right, in the power of our gracious and loving Holy Spirit.

“Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.” John 14:23 KJV

What precious promises we possess, as children of the Heavenly kingdom….

My Creed

The absolute God

The Lord is the eternal absolute

He is the beginning and the end of everything that exists

There is none like Him.

He is the everlasting Spirit, who has always existed.

All power, glory and decisions belong to Him.

In Him we live, breathe and move.

In Him we think, feel and speak.

He is our Maker, or Redeemer and Friend.

I trust in Him with a full heart of love.

He rescues me and I am helped.

He has forgiven me everything, though others do not.

So, I will love Him forever and obey Him,

who has conquered self in me and made me like Him.

Take my hand

“My beloved spoke and said to me, “Arise, my darling, my beautiful one, come with me.”

Song of Songs 2:10

He catches a glimpse. Maybe she comes out to meet him at the wall. They speak together. The Woman says “He spoke to me.” How precious to the child of God that the Lord speaks to them. He speaks personally and he speaks into our lives in a way that we will understand. He speaks words of comfort and encouragement and He is never discouraging. He does not try and bring us to heaven under a cloud but to bring us home in great glory. His words are true and his words sink deep into our minds and become part of our being so that we end up thinking and being like him.

His word is near to us. It is in our hearts and in our minds and we have it recorded for us in holy scripture it so that we can be sure about what he is saying to us. We are not confused and not lead astray by the Word of God.

The woman waits to hear what he’s got to say. His words are words of love so he tells her to arise and come away. She is his love his true love and he is tired of waiting for her.

He says, “Come now leave your fathers and mothers house and come away with me and let us be together.” The years of waiting have been long and they have left their toll on both of them, and now it is time for them to be together.

One day this will happen for God’s people too. Jesus will return to take is waiting people home and he will not hesitate to take them out of this world and bring them safely into the heavenly kingdom. He will not have to argue with them. There will be the trumpet sound and the shout and we shall leave as one body. No one will be there who should not be there and there will be plenty who will be left out. There will be plenty who think they should be included and they will not be included for they did not repent and they did not believe and they do not love the Lord with all their heart and mind and soul.

But this woman is ready to leave. She hears the voice of her beloved and she wants to go with him. He will call her with words of endearment he calls her “my love my beautiful one” and he longs for her to come away with him. There is no threat here but only longing that he will have his true love with him for ever and ever be comforted in her embrace.

He says “come with me.” She will go with no other but only the one that she recognises as her beloved. “Come with me.” When we hear these words we must obey when Jesus calls to us now in this life to come to Him, we must come to Him. On that last day when He calls us to be with Him forever, we must go to Him – we must not hesitate but must be always ready. Our foot must always be on the threshold of the door so we are ready to leave with our truly beloved.

The bridegroom calls to his beloved and she comes to him for she will always obey His voice. Jesus, our Beloved will call us out and we will go and be with Him forever. We also will be forever with the Lord – forever in his warm embrace and he also in ours.

It’s Resurrection Day…

Heaven is buzzing today, it’s Resurrection Day! There’ll be thousands of new ones flooding through the doors… angels, demons and Christians, all in white….💛

“I saw thrones on which were seated those who had been given authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony about Jesus and because of the word of God. They a had not worshiped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years. (The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended.) This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy are those who share in the first resurrection. The second death has no power over them, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with him for a thousand years. …”

Revelation 20:4-6

I’m finding the Black King first, though….

Oil of joy

“You love righteousness and hate wickedness; therefore God, your God, has set you above your companions by anointing you with the oil of joy.

Psalm 45

Good people are joyful people. Those who love God and His commandments, and naturally happy people. They can obey God and enjoy His favour every day. They can walk with Him closely, and are set above other people, because of the joy they carry around with them.

The bride of Christ in the coming kingdom, will be the people of God, redeemed and brought into the perfect realm of eternal life. They will, truly know it then, that they are very blessed people. However, we can know it now. We can know this closeness to the almighty God that enables us to draw so close to t

The Thin White Queen

No mortal power will bend her down

The strength of Queen’s is she

Demands are not her neighbour

Tyranny will flee.

She moves across the kingdom

With dignity and grace

Invading armies tremble

One glimpse of her beautiful face.

Her King enthroned in glory

Protection is her key

She sacrifices all she is

For him endlessly.

The Throne

“Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever; a scepter of justice will be the scepter of your kingdom. You love righteousness and hate wickedness;”

The Lord Jesus is still on the throne. He has always been on the throne and remains there forever in all His radiant glory and devastating beauty. The manifestation of the throne has changed and through the ages has transformed the lives of all the people of God.

The glory of the cross has ravaged the ideas of puny human rebellion and has conquered all agony and hatefulness. The bloody humility of the man Christ Jesus, has melted the stony hearts of sinful people throughout the aeons of human history and continues to do so. We all bow to Him and and Him only, as our only Saviour and Lord. With contrite hearts we love you, our Lord Jesus Christ.

White shoes

A perfect day to play the views

As willows weep and curlews fuse

Lined up, in a cloth white row

Starched and painted ready to go.

On Saturday nights his children wait

To try our the footwear so gleamingly great

To slip on the foot on the way out to church

And delicately sit on the pew as a perch.

Coming

You will come, I don’t know when

Waiting always will I be then

How long it takes as soon I see

Your dark face over me.

I look to the sky it shines me home

I run into the light all fear gone

At last, the Lord has conquered me

Filling me with love, so tenderly.

You promised to come, but lingered long

Left me only with wail-some song

I wait, I wait for the morning rise

Signalling me to prepare to fly.

Holding to hope I pass each day

It holds me fast as the words say

My King will come, dark against light

Out of sadness into skin so white.

Come, Lord, my pain erase

Glorify me in your embrace

A kiss so pure, endless bliss

I wait, I wait to touch this…
