My life seems to be an elongated car crash…
It is a series of catastrophes that God has permitted me to suffer, a whole range of them. I near them patiently, though some have been particularly troublesome.
Whatever the weather, heavy thunderstorms or bright sunshine, and all in between, we need to keep going. We walk with our Lord through all afflictions into the eternal sunshine of the everlasting kingdom.
“But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body. For we who are alive are always being given over to death for Jesus’ sake, so that his life may also be revealed in our mortal body.”
2 Corinthians 4:7-11
We may have frail bodies, weak minds and sorrowful souls, but we still win through, because of what Jesus did on the cross to buy us back to Himself. If you belong to Him, you have the Holy Spirit within you and He is the all powerful one. He will bring you to victory and change of heart and mind.
The car may be crashed, but you are safe, and so am I. God is still enthroned above and as we acquiesce to His love, we get better and better until we reach our destination, heaven, where there is no need to cars…
