A nursery rhyme about Jesus #1
The fun was all over, yet only just begun
When the bread and fish were finally done
The meal has ended, but the voyage began
The disciples in a boat – every man.
Jesus went another way, walking on the water
The disciples were scared and cried “slaughter!”
The ghosts will get us, “Help!” They cried
But to their fear they were totally tied.
Jesus spoke the works of life
To dispel their fright and strife
“Do not fear, for it is I”
Jesus pointed to the sky.
He reminded them of their heavenly home
And that He Himself was still on the throne
All who believe will reach that glorious shore
Where fear and fright can reach no more.
