“Peace, peace, but there is no peace….”

From what I have seen on the media regarding Donald Trump’s election, the “christian right wing” are already being duped. I observe Trump in these few days of victory, and he seems a man shocked by what has happened and reeling from the reality that this has actually turned out a victory for him. I don’t think he meant hardly any of this to happen, and does not realise that there are powers beyond him who will use and destroy him for their own ends. He thinks he has the power and believes he is making his own decisions.

I think evil has taken up this foolish, selfish and godless person and will use his folly to further the inroads of evil in our world. We have “christians” praying for him and asking God to bless him and give him wisdom. Where is discretion, judgment and dignity? The man is at least bemused at the antics of these deluded religious well-wishers. The look on his face and the perpetual pout is extraordinary.!

God warns us of this behaviour and attitude…
2Timothy 3:1-5
“But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.”

This scripture could not be clearer….
2 Timothy 3:12-
“everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted, while evildoers and impostors will go from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived. But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it, and how from infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.”

What we see on the screen of our devices, is not God’s way. You will know you are living for God when you are hated for loving Him, following His Word and doing good. What we are actually seeing is the work of the spirit of Anti-christ, which is always ready in the history of this world, to rise up and stake its claim against the eternal and everlasting God.

We must train ourselves and be wise. The Scriptures are the answer- the Lord Christ Jesus is the only Saviour, and we must fly to Him. I pray the people will trust in Him and know His peace, for He only is our peace…
