“But Judah will be inhabited forever, and Jerusalem from generation to generation.”

The people who belong to God will not lose out.

We may lose our lives and be completely rejected and sidelined, but God will bring us safely to the heavenly land of Judah where we will dwell safely forever.

The generation of the people of God will forever inhabit the promised land, that place prepared for them by their Saviour and Lord.

“Don’t let your heart be troubled. Believe in God. Believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many homes. If it weren’t so, I would have told you. I am going to prepare a place for you. If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and will receive you to myself; that where I am, you may be there also.”

John 14:1-3

The promise stands secure for the people of God and they will surely enter into their inheritance. They will dwell in Judah in the safety of the protection of the Lord and in the holy city where they belong. It will be lived in forever, as the promised land flowing with milk and honey, and the eternal city of God – Jerusalem the golden. The people who dwell there will be an everlasting people for the glory of God and as a perpetual sign of His mercy and righteousness.

“They shall dwell in the land that I have given to Jacob my servant, in which your fathers lived; and they shall dwell therein, they, and their children, and their children’s children, forever: and David my servant shall be their prince for ever.”

Ezekiel 37:25

The people who are raised from the dry bones in the vision of Ezekiel will be a people for the Lord and He will give them their place and Christ will reign over them forever, as Lord and God.
